Premiere Maryland Moving Company – 410-247-6611

There’s no better time than the springtime to get to know a new place, especially in Maryland.

Your Maryland movers will be the first one to tell you that in order to officially become an Old Line State local, you need to visit some of Maryland’s best kept secrets. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed; after all, Maryland has earned the nickname “America in miniature” because it has all landscapes (think mountain, city, farmland, and ocean).

Don’t miss out on the chance to explore the most Instagrammable spots in the state; check out this list from your Maryland moving company of the secret Maryland places you can only visit in March.

Sunflowers at Clear Meadow Farm. For an instant boost of happiness, head to the Harford County Farm for the chance to run through fields of giant sunflowers.

Japanese Maples at Cylburn Arboretum. Most likely to be used as a wedding backdrop out of all the secret Maryland places, the 207-acres at Cylburn Arboretum are filled with magnolias, oaks, greenhouses, and other various gardens.

Rawlings Conservatory. This is the one place that your Maryland moving company has had a hard time deciding which is more beautiful: the inside or the outside. This giant glass structure is surrounded by botanical gardens with vibrant tulips and five distinct rooms with individual climates.

While there are already plenty of pros to using your Maryland movers to get settled into a new home, one more reason has just been added to the list; in an incredibly philanthropic move, the Maryland Bomb Squad took a break from their day job in order to create beeping Easter eggs for blind children.

The crew took the time to create 48 beeping Easter eggs so visually impaired kids can finally participate in Easter egg hunts just like everyone else. Constructed for multi-use and rough handling, your Maryland movers assure you that these beeping Easter eggs can be used multiple times.

Some of the Maryland Easter egg hunts that will feature these new beeping Easter eggs include:

Bunnyland at Butler’s Orchard. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 19, 20, 25, 26, 28, and April 1-3, these beeping Easter eggs will be featured along with live bunnies, lambs, and chicks.

Meadowside Nature Center’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children age two to 12 are invited to participate in Easter egg hunts and play with live animals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 25.

Terrapin Adventures Eggcellent Adventure. Pet adorable bunnies after the annual Easter egg hunt held at 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on March 25 and 26. A portion of each admission ticket will be donated to a local rabbit shelter.

Once you have moved to Maryland and have begun the tedious and tiresome process of unpacking, the professional movers of Maryland think that now is the best time to get yourself and your new Maryland home organized. As a full service moving company in Maryland, we have extensive packing and moving knowledge. We believe that unpacking in your new Maryland home is the perfect time to start a new organized life. Here are a few of our organizing hacks for your Maryland home.

Shoe Boxes as DIY Dividers. You can make a completely customizable set of DIY dividers with just scissors and shoe boxes. Simply cut the boxes in half by length or width, as needed for the specified space and then tuck into the drawer.

Picture Frame as a Dry Erase Board. Stay on top of your family’s errands with an eye catching DIY memo board. You can frame a pretty scrap of paper and hang it in an easily accessible place; simply use a dry erase marker to jot down reminders on the glass, and voila! You have an instant dry erase board.

Velcro for Stuffed Animal Organization. Keep the teddies off the floor and out of the way with a few strips of Velcro. Attach the soft side of the Velcro to the stuffed animals and the other half to the wall.

Use Spice Rack as an Organizer. The All My Sons of Maryland believes that a spice rack is the perfect size for storing nail polish, face wash, and other small tools.

Label Power Cords Using Bread Ties. Do not get your cords all tangled up with the use of bread ties. Color code them to be able to decipher which plug goes with what device.

The All My Sons moving company of Maryland are happy to announce that residential property tax assessments throughout the Maryland region are on the upswing, with the strongest gains seen in Baltimore County, and with slower growth in the Hartford County and city. This past year marked the third year in a row of statewide increases, which reflects the gradual improvement in the Maryland real estate market since 2013.

More than three quarters of Maryland homes included in this past year’s assessment gained value during the three year period, for an average Maryland housing statewide increase of 9.5 percent. The values of Maryland commercial buildings, which include apartments, increased a total of 16 percent.

The Maryland moving company reports that Prince George’s County, one of Maryland’s areas that was hit the hardest during the housing crash, showed the highest increase of any jurisdiction in the state; their home assessments went up nearly 30 percent.

Baltimore County led the Maryland metro area with more than 87 percent of residential properties seeing values increase 10.9 percent. While there is a positive increase in the Maryland housing market, it is not as great as economists had hoped considering the scale of the initial crash.

The moving company in Maryland knows that many Maryland homeowners are not getting rich off of the real estate market. However, it is a positive and promising sign that the market is coming back to life. With the Maryland State Legislative Session in the near future, All My Sons Moving & Storage of Maryland has learned that Sugar Free Kids is planning on honing in on healthier snack options by proposing its “Maryland Healthy Vending Act”. If passed, the legislation would make healthier food and drinks readily available in all vending machines on state property in Maryland.

Along with healthier snack options, the bill would also require that vending machines on state property in Maryland move the better-for-you foods into slots with the greatest potential for selling, and that water bottles be sold in every beverage vending machine.

Executive Director of Sugar Free Kids, Robi Rawl, believes 2016 is going to be a productive year for the organization and is looking forward to helping implement positive change in the lives of kids in Maryland.

“After two years of advocating for a healthier culture for children in the state of Maryland, Sugar Free Kids has become a recognized voice within the state,” Rawl said. “We are ready to make a lasting impact in 2016 and it starts with healthier vending options for anyone who lives, works learns and plays right here in Maryland!”

Government Affairs Director of the American Heart Association Mid-Atlantic Division, Michaeline Fedder, believes the bill has a good possibility of being passed and our local Maryland movers happily agree. The Maryland State Legislative Session is all about giving people choices, Fedder has said, and this bill does just that. Offering healthier food and beverage items in local vending machines allows people the opportunity to make a decision. They can choose to be healthy or go for the less healthy option of candy and soda.

Moving and getting to celebrate the holidays in a new home can be extremely exciting. After all, you and your loved ones are making new memories and traditions in your new home. Perhaps the only daunting part is figuring out what there is to do in town. Maryland moving companies want families to enjoy the very best that Christmas has to offer, so in order to have a merry Christmas after moving to Maryland, check out the following top holiday events.

Christmas Light Displays: Take your family to any one of these events in order to get them in the holiday spirit: Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City, Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park, Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival at Seneca Creek State Park, Miracle on 34th Street, Chesapeake City Winterfest along C&D Canal, and Annmarie Garden in Lights – Solomons in Dowell.

Parades and Festivals: No matter what age group you have in your family, these parades and festivals will not disappoint: Christmas on the Potomac, Towson Winterfest, and Victorian Christmas in Berlin.

Gaylord National Resort’s ICE! After moving to Maryland, this is one featured Christmas event that your local Maryland movers do not want you to miss! Each year, ice carvers build a frozen wonderland at National Harbor, complete with ice slides, ice creatures, and much more. If you have children, this is one way to make sure that they have a merry Christmas after moving.

Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s The Nutcracker: From December 11th-15th, take a friend, date, or the whole family to see the Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, performed by the Baltimore Orchestra at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

If you moved to Maryland this year, chances are you do not want to struggle to find your artificial Christmas tree tucked somewhere away in unpacked moving boxes. In fact, you may find it important to hear that Maryland movers and locals love real Christmas trees instead.

So, are on the fence about digging to find your artificial tree, but are not quite sure whether you should purchase a fresh one? Well, here are some pros to having a real Maryland Christmas tree in your home:

1. Air and Water – Once you place your Christmas tree in water, it is still living, and therefore absorbs carbon dioxide and gives off fresh air.

2. Sustainability – A real Maryland Christmas tree will last you a long time. Since trees biodegrade naturally, they can recycled into mulch or firewood.

3. Tradition – After moving to Maryland, you may want to start some new traditions with your family. Maryland movers suggest at least trying a fresh Christmas tree the first year in your new home. If you don’t like it, you have an entire year to figure out where your artificial tree is hiding in all of your moving boxes. However, Christmas tree shopping is fun for the entire family and is a great tradition to get your children accustomed to.

4. Support Local Business – Buying a locally grown Christmas tree is a great way to put money back into the Maryland economy.

In the event that you are moving this month during Thanksgiving week or just after, the movers at All My Sons Moving & Storage Maryland want to make sure that your travels are safe.

This year, highway transportation partners have come together to keep traveling motorists across the nation safe while on the go during their Thanksgiving travels, offering only the best advice on what to do in the event that you get stranded. In order to help relay the message, our Maryland movers have compiled a summary of what the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA), the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA), the Maryland State Police, and AAA representatives have said about how to have a safe Thanksgiving and 2015 holiday season.

1. Carefully plan your route. Whether you are just traveling to Maryland to visit family for Thanksgiving or are moving to Maryland, Maryland movers and officials suggest that you plan your route carefully and have a backup route just in case.

2. Download a traffic app. There are numerous apps available that can help you on your travels. Download one that will tell you about accidents, delays, detours, and weather conditions so that you can be prepared and save time and money on fuel costs.

3. Keep Maryland’s 511 free travel service handy. Or you can visit md511.org for estimated travel times and constant live updates on the local traffic, weather, and travel delays. You can call 511 or access their website at any point during your move to Maryland for information.

“We expect more than 2.7 million motorists this week on Maryland’s toll highways, bridges and tunnels, with more than half of those motorists on the I-95 corridor alone,” said Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) Executive Director Milt Chaffee.
