CASA of Allegany County is an independent, court-authorized nonprofit organization where volunteers encourage the wellbeing of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, and/or abandonment. The children of CASA can range up to 21 years of age. These volunteers for this system are individually trained and supervised and are there to provide a safety net, care, mentorship and support. In most cases, each volunteer of CASA serves one child at a time. They ensure that each and every child that comes through their system has the opportunity to thrive after receiving the help that they need – fostering the children and ultimately moving them in the direction towards a safe and permanent home.

The CASA Wine and Beer Festival will be held at Canal Place Festival Grounds in Cumberland, Maryland. There will be live music, great food, craft beer, and Maryland wine. The event will be taking place from 1-6 p.m. Adult tickets are $20 online and $25 at the gate. Each adult ticket purchase includes wine and beer tasting.
