As of today, the 25th Annual Coastal Cleanup event taking place in Delaware New Jersey and Maryland has resulted in the removal of over 31,000 pounds of trash from rivers and the ocean floor. Sponsored by Delmarva Power as well as local environmentalist groups and several businesses, the event saw nearly three thousand enthusiastic volunteers busting a move to help clean up fifty mid-Atlantic area beach and river spots.
